Justin Dumas "Where the Rain Rests" Reception

Join us for the reception of Where The Rain Rests, a solo exhibition by Justin Dumas , the most recent William E. Strickland Jr. Fellow, on Thursday, October 23 from 6–8 p.m. in MCG’s Kerr Gallery. An MCG alum who now works at the intersection of craft, industry, and ecology, Dumas returns to the place where his creative journey began with a body of work shaped by Pittsburgh’s rivers and post-industrial landscape. Through layered materials—screen-printed silks, reclaimed components, and soft sculptural forms—he reflects on the tensions between purity and pollution, permanence and change.

Refreshments will be served. The exhibition will be on view through December 12, 2025.
