DYNOMITE!! BTS is coming to Heinz Hall and MCG is offering you an all-access pass experience! MCG has acquired special Behind the Scenes access of Heinz Hall. Learn digital photography that will prepare you for the performances of a lifetime. The music industry, environmental photography, architectural photography, and journalism are all professions we’ll explore. Our final performance will be an exclusive photography exhibition at Heinz Hall. All levels welcome!
In this class, we will be diving into some of the most popular aspects of game design, such as map creation, print-and-play prototypes, branching-path narrative design, and non-linear storytelling. Find out what makes a compelling piece of gameplay by testing out mechanics and strategies that keep the player invested in your creation.
In this class, we will be looking for our "creative spark" through the exploration of water-based mediums. We will develop skills in ink drawing, watercolor, resists, and acrylic painting. We will allow the unpredictable nature of fluid mediums trigger our imagination, while also learning to exert control over the liquid paints to create an objectifiable, yet abstracted image. Drawing inspiration from color field painters, we will splash and splatter paint on large canvas! We will also be taking a field trip to the studio of a local artist to learn his technique of creating large-scale paintings.
We are taking on full-sized busts in this class, so get ready for some intense sculpting! We are going to start with a base bust (either female or male) and customize them from there. By the end of the session, you will have either a self-portrait or a character that is near full-size… Maybe the start of a haunted house!
Wednesdays, Sept. 28- Nov. 16 (7 class engagements) *No Class 10/5

Make art to sell! In this multi-media class, we will make original block-print greeting cards and handmade recycled paper envelops and bound notebooks. You will pick a fiber arts project to perfect and sell - projects to pick from include knit scarves or small sewn objects such as hand-warmers. Finally, we will craft one-of-kind decorations for the holidays. At the end of the semester, you will have the opportunity to sell your unique artisan crafts at the MCG Holiday Market.

Porcelain Jewelry and Ornaments
Art in Motion 🔥
Don’t look now, but the holidays are already here. No, don’t look! We are going to turn our attention to the upcoming winter holidays and learn how to make ornaments and jewelry out of colored porcelain that can be gifts or made to sell in our revamped holiday sale! Either way, learn how to use porcelain in new and different ways that fall outside of the traditional pottery aesthetic.
