•     Digital SLR Camera (available for loan from MCG)

•     Tripod (available for loan from MCG)

•     Adobe Photoshop CC

•     Internet Access

•     Zoom Videoconferencing Software/App (free)

Embark on a journey of creative exploration in this digital photography class. The first 4 weeks we will be going into the field to capture some fascinating and beautiful places in and around Pittsburgh. We will work on the principles of exposure, composition, and natural lighting. We will also explore HDR photography and focus stacking to bring your images to a new level. After that, we will meet virtually to edit our photos in Adobe Photoshop. We will share in the creative process by engaging in classroom critiques to help us choose the best images for our class exhibition. We will meet at MCG where every student will learn to mat and frame their own work. We will finish the course with a reception that is open to the public. Dust off your camera and join us for this fun and creative journey. No experience needed.
