Learn how to make pottery both on the potter’s wheel and with hand building techniques.  In this class techniques for centering, throwing, and trimming will be discussed in addition. I will introduce coil and slab building to make a solid basis for both beginners and intermediate students.  Also, for those who are interested we will make porcelain available in this class.

In this Photoshop class we will study the history of Pop Art. As we explore the elements of Pop Art you will learn basic and intermediate Photoshop skills to create your own designs. Inspiration will be drawn from famous pop artists such as Richard Hamilton, Roy Lichtenstein, Yayoi Kusamag. Jasper Johns, David Hockney, and Keith Haring. Some of the class projects include a Hamilton collage, a Lichtenstein portrait, a Hockney joiner, and a Keith Haring character piece. No experience needed.

Black and white 35mm film photography! Create new images and / or bring in your old negatives to print! Learn how to shoot a 35mm camera, process and print your own photographs. The use of a 35mm camera is included, along with 4 rolls of film and all the equipment and materials needed to process and print. We will be using both 5x7 and 8x10 photographic printing paper, on limited bases. If you like to do production printing, please bring your own paper.
