Jump into the world of ceramics as we open our clay studio for the new year!  We are going to be focusing on using the pottery wheel in this open-ended class.  If the wheel isn’t your deal, we will also have access to all of our various hand-building options too!

Let’s hunker down for the winter and take some still life photos in our DIY home studio. Using everyday objects around the house we will set up one or two spaces that will be good for creating still life photographs. We will delve into still life composition and how to effectively tell stories with inanimate objects. Learn about lighting your work with natural as well as artificial light. We will also explore a variety of camera modes on our digital SLR cameras. And finally, we will edit our images in Photoshop.

 

Wednesdays Jan. 11- Feb. 8

You may be comfortable taking images using fully automatic, but let’s get you taking fully manual images! Bring your DSLR or point and shoot camera and learn about the exposure triangle. We’ll take some trips as a group to further your shooting experience. You’ll also learn Photoshop to enhance your images for printing and final class exhibition.
