This fall's Wednesday design class, Prints by 1000 Cuts, teaches students the art of linocutting. With this relief printmaking technique, students carve an image into a sheet of linoleum, which is then inked and pressed onto paper to create a print.
Students began with a challenge to explore the medium with a few test runs before moving onto personal projects. "I was impressed with how quickly the students caught on," said instructor, Zo Zielinski.
I found it inspiring to learn about Prints by 1000 Cuts and the creative work they are doing. I like that there is a focus on hands-on design. Custom PVC patches might provide another avenue for makers and artists to execute their ideas.
What a fantastic spotlight on Prints by 1000 Cuts! I’ve long admired how this studio balances bold visual language with delicate printing techniques. The blend of fine detail, thoughtful composition, and striking color choices always makes their work stand out. Do you want to create custom challenge coins Canada for upcoming events?
