MCG Photography 2026 Summer Session 1 is in the history books! Students had a GREAT time in photography and did wonderful works in the ceramic and design studios too.

The summer photography sessions have started! We have middle school aged students learning the beginning history of photography. Week one they learned the definitions of photography and the camera. Afterwards, putting it into practice with making photograms, pinhole camera images and cyanotypes!

This summer, four outstanding MCG Youth students traveled to the renowned Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts in Helena, Montana, for an intensive five-day ceramics immersion led by teaching artists Matt Zorn and Zo Zielinski. Now in its sixth year, the Archie Bray trip provides students with a unique opportunity to develop their skills at one of the nation’s most respected centers for ceramic arts.
